If your pool table felt is looking old and shabby, we can help with our pool table refelting service.
Application of new felt can bring that pool table back to life. Plus there is a wide range of options for colors. You can match the interior of your home, no matter your decorating style. Or you can just go with classic green, if you are the traditional type.
We typically use either Championship Invitational Cloth or Simonis 860™ on tables.
Which pool table cloth is the best?
There are a few differences between Championship and Simonis. Which one is best for your table depends on your preferences.
Championship Invitational is the more cost effective option. This is a woolen cloth that is coated with Dupont Teflon on the play surface.
It is a good quality cloth and it will save you a couple hundred dollars.
If you are most interested in casual play and having a good time with friends and family this is probably a good option for you.
Simonis 860™
If you are serious about billiards and you are willing to spend more you may want to go with Simonis 860™.
Simonis has been around since 1680 (that is not a typo). They have been in business for over 300 years. They have stood the test of time for a reason. Simonis continues to be the standard for quality today.
Simonis 860™ is 100% worsted wool. With this cloth you will get a faster roll and more accurate play.
The Refelting Process
When we refelt a pool table we take take the pool table apart partially. This allows us to refelt the rails as well as the bed. We will also check the level of your pool table while it is partially disassembled and make any necessary adjustments.
Note: if you are already having your pool table moved, this is an opportune time to have the pool table refelted. It will already be taken apart in the moving process. This can save you money in the long run.
The pool table techs will stretch the new felt onto the bed and they will recover the rails. Refelting the rails requires great attention to detail and skill. Because of this you can expect your refelt to take a couple of hours. You can rest assured knowing that you are getting quality work when you go with us for your pool table service needs.
