Bars, which see heavy use, may need maintenance as often as every 3-6 months to maintain a flawless playing surface.
Even with regular maintenance, there are signs that your pool table may need professional care. If you notice uneven bounce or the balls consistently veer off course, it may indicate that the table is no longer level. Warped slate or cushions that have lost their bounce can also affect gameplay. If your felt has become torn, stained, or noticeably worn down, it's time for a re-felting or full maintenance to be done.
We typically use either Championship Invitational Cloth™ or Simonis 860™ on tables
Championship Invitational™
Championship Invitational is the more cost effective option. This is a woolen cloth that is coated with Dupont Teflon on the play surface.
It is a good quality cloth and it will save you a couple hundred dollars.
If you are most interested in casual play and having a good time with friends and family this is probably a good option for you.
Simonis 860™
If you are serious about billiards and you are willing to spend more you may want to go with Simonis 860™.
Simonis has been around since 1680 (that is not a typo). They have been in business for over 300 years. They have stood the test of time for a reason. Simonis continues to be the standard for quality today.
Simonis 860™ is 100% worsted wool. With this cloth you will get a faster roll and more accurate play.
